Hi! My name is Patty and I have a home studio in Michigan where I like to create beaded jewelry and accessories. Around 8 years I ago I decided to take up a hobby. I always wanted to create pretty jewelry that was colorful and elegant. So, I took a basic beading class at a local store. Then I was hooked. I have learned different techniques through different venues over the years as well as purchasing pieces as examples from my travels all around the world. I am constantly learning. I don’t believe that one needs expensive jewelry to look nice, so I try to maintain a lower price point. I work with all types of materials. Stainless steel, silver coated copper, gold coated copper, bronze, copper, and occasionally 0.925 sterling silver and gold. The beads I prefer to use are Czech glass, Austrian crystal, semi-precious gemstones, repurposed findings, leather, felt, acrylic and silicone.

I developed my company called the Big White Dog Studio LLC in 2023. I sell my creations at festivals, farmer’s markets, craft shows, and for a period of time in a town on lake Michigan. My website showcases examples of the products that I have made. I can recreate any of the styles shown and custom make jewelry for each person’s individual tastes. The cost of each piece of jewelry depends on the cost of the materials and the time it takes to create a piece. I can give a general idea of the cost before making a piece.
